Head of subsurface, Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd
Izwan Shahmin has been in the industry for two decades, He’s currently serving as the Head of Subsurface at PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd. In this role, he oversees resource development, production surveillance, and production chemistry, contributing significantly to PETRONAS' operations in the Caspian region.
Izwan has held various technical and leadership positions within PETRONAS, including roles as Head of Production Enhancement and Asset Manager in Malaysia Petroleum Management. His expertise spans across multiple Malaysia and international assignments, reflecting his adaptability and commitment to excellence in the oil and gas industry.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Izwan is actively involved with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He has served in multiple capacities within the SPE Kuala Lumpur Section. In recognition of his exceptional service and leadership, Izwan was honored with the 2023 SPE Northern Asia Pacific Regional Service Award.
