Baker Hughes Explores Energy Partnership Opportunities with Turkmenistan

The Ambassador of Italy to Turkmenistan, Luigi Ferrari, met on Monday in Ashgabat with Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes/Nuovo Pignone. The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening commercial partnerships between Italy and Turkmenistan in the strategically important energy sector, as Italian Embassy in Turkmenistan reported.

Founded in 1842, Nuovo Pignone is recognized as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of turbomachinery and compressors for the energy industry. The company became part of Baker Hughes following its acquisition by General Electric in 1994, and in 2017, its operations were fully integrated into the Baker Hughes portfolio.

In Turkmenistan, Baker Hughes is engaged in exploration and development of oil and gas fields, employing safe and environmentally friendly technologies.
